Founded in 1994 by Professor Gunter Pauli at the United Nations University, the Zero Emissions Research and Initiative (ZERI) is a global network comprising over 4,000 scientists and experts dedicated to developing innovative solutions for the world's present and future challenges.
Over the past three decades, ZERI and its partners have created more than three million jobs globally, and have attracted over five billion euros in investment for pioneering environmental projects. Consistently recognized for its groundbreaking contributions, ZERI has ranked among the Top 10 Think Tanks in the world with the Most Innovative Policy Ideas/Proposals in the University of Pennsylvania’s Global Go-To Think Tank Index Report for many years.
In 2021, Shelley Tsang established ZERI China, with the vision of harnessing ZERI's global expertise and fostering collaboration with local stakeholders to advance sustainable innovation and tackle critical environmental challenges within China.
